New Worship Recomendation

I've recently been really blessed and stirred by the worship music of Misty Edwards (Thanks to Jade). Edwards is involved with IHOP which is equipping and releasing pasionate worshipers for this generation.

'My soul longs for you'
is a great song using a sensitive guitar-riff over a simple chord progression. Edwards layers tuneful phrases to develop a simple prayerful song into a vast prophetic declaration of God's presence raining down. This is a great example of how simple chord structures can support great spontaneous and prophetic worship.

What do you think about this style of worship music? Does it help or distract people from pressing into God? Leave a comment!

'New and free' is a simple statement summing up how God wants our lives to be. It can also be interpreted as 'the freshness and creativity that comes through the freedom we have in Jesus'.
